About How You Really Doing

A digital sanctuary for mental health, faith, and honest conversation — built for the men and women who are tired of the surface-level answers.

How You Really Doing is a podcast and digital sanctuary dedicated to mental health, emotional wellness, and spiritual care. Hosted by Pastor Al Gallon and Dr. James Gallon — together known as The Gallons — the show creates a brave space where the precision of medicine meets the depth of pastoral care, and where the phrase "I'm fine" is finally allowed to be a lie.

The podcast is built for men and women navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, burnout, relationship strain, and the silent weight so many carry in silence. Each week, The Gallons hold space for radical honesty about the topics most people avoid: the pressure of fatherhood and marriage, the stigma around men's mental health, the tension between faith and clinical care, and the long, unglamorous work of healing. There are no clinical white-coat clichés here, and no performance — just two brothers in purpose leaning into the real, together.

Pastor Al Gallon brings the soul. As a pastor, he shepherds hearts with wisdom, grace, and the unvarnished truth of faith, offering the spiritual grounding that turns struggle into meaning. Dr. James Gallon brings the mind. With decades of clinical insight, he distills the science of healing — anxiety, depression, trauma, and resilience — into language anyone can hold. The intersection of the two is where the show lives: where medicine meets ministry, and where a whole, healed person comes into view.

New episodes premiere every Friday at 4:00 PM ET, broadcasting live on Facebook and YouTube with real-time questions from the audience. Past conversations are preserved in the unfiltered archives, so listeners can return to them on their own time and their own terms. The show is produced by The AGM Network and created for a community that believes mental health and faith belong in the same conversation — and that no one should have to choose between the two.
